Charter school is the result from the system reform of American public education. It is a new form of public school in America, which was firstly produced in the1990’s in Minnesota. After that, they sprung up like bamboo roots after rain and also had a great shock on American modern school system. The charter school equip with more autonomous rights than other public school do, meanwhile the former burden corresponding accountability. Charter school encourage parents to select other school. The school not only pay attention to enhance the educational quality but also devote themselves to improve the unfavorable conditions for children’s study in order to propel the educational impartialness.They rely on schooling reputation to win the support from parents and their children. Its appearance of charter school makes public school’s forms more various. It brings market competition into the field of education so as to urge public school to do better. The value American education pursuits is excellence and equality, however to perfect the primary education during this processing is of key importance, therefore charter school as a powerful measure will achieve its goal. My essay treating this hot topic as its focus, in the perspective of public option and market logic, researches on reformation and innovation of American charter school system for public education system.The paper can be divided six parts. The first part is introduction, which narrates the reasons of topic choosing, relevant bibliography summary and research mind as well as research method. The second part introduces some conceptional connotations about charter school, public option and market logic. In this part, it also probe into the historical changes of American public education system and the design of charter school in recent years. The third part argues the present developing situation as well as its effect and existent problematics during the procedure of charter school carrying out its system. The fourth part, from three aspects of the construction of charter school’s leading thought, administration model and new typical relationship, expounds the innovation of charter school system. The fifth part, combining with China’s practice of educational reformation, provides several strategies with our reformation of public education system with view to some strong points from charter school. The sixth part is conclusion, which summarizes the research on the innovation of charter school system in the perspective of public option and market logic, meanwhile demonstrates some innovations for my paper writing and also its something unperfect.
