Since the 1980s, Public school reform which is characterized by the logic of the market can be described within the massive. Some representative of public school reform theory and practical measures are popular. But the practical results tell that the reform not only failed to achieve the desired results, but also caused a fair, school enterprise and new problems. Now,public school reform is more complex.After the research on the logic of the market, the spirit of education, and public schools, we realize that there are three main reasons for this situation:First, the market logic is based on the machinery, closed and static view of the world, therefore, The market logic has strong limitations and means "authority worship" to the reformers. Second, education is the spirit of a perfect understanding of the meaning of life in essence, and it develops the ability to freedom and happiness. The spirit of education is based on dynamic, holistic, complexity and generative worldview, which is opposite to the one of market logic. Therefore, from the view of the worldview, the education reform with the market logic is destined into trouble. Third, the spirit of education is theoretical, and school is the actualization of the spirit of education. Public schools practice the ideals of education, at the same time, the deficiencies in the public school system suppress students’ individuality. In this case,to put the market logic in the reform of the public school leads to strengthen the public school system defects. So, public school needs the reform which could repair of its system defects and fit with the educational spirit.Evolutionary Economics is contrary to the logic of the market, It advocates the operation of socio-economic should based on the dynamic, open and generative view of the world, Instead of relying on the so-called market mechanisms for the optimal allocation of resources, subjective initiative and the spirit of innovation are the ultimate force for promoting economic development. Thus, the evolution of economic theory fits the spirit of education.
