Today, In the rapid development of the socialist market economy, science and technology, film culture is one of mass media as the most extensive coverage and the scope of the largest audiences in today’s society, film culture has become an important part of student life and learning, which in common with the general media characteristics, but also has its own personality exclusively feature. Film culture often works through the appearance of the cast and crew of beautiful costumes, rich and full of personality characters, colorful screen images and wonderful sounds of music and other factors combine to convey its implication values, the concept of life and aesthetic appeal, it will directly or indirectly affect the audience’s values, behavior, knowledge structure, personality training and aesthetic taste like. College students are in a special period,their values has not been established, they have a strong force of imitation and curiosity, the ability to identify, but relatively weak, they are vulnerably impactd by external things. Some film story which is with highlights violence, pornography and other negative cultural works to the college students, and make a certain degree of negative impact on their political values, aesthetic values and life values and moral values. Deviation and film culture of contemporary college students lost their values, to a certain extent, affect the effective implementation of the ideological and political education of college students. Therefore, in the popularity of film culture environment, the community should be sufficient attention to study film culture and the ideological and political education.In this paper, the study of contemporary film culture and the ideological and political education contain four parts, Part Ⅰ:Introduction, including the topics of reason and sense, literature review, research projects and scientific contents and methods of innovation; Part Ⅱ:an overview of contemporary film culture, including related concepts contemporary interpretation of film culture, the basic characteristics of the contemporary relevance of film culture, the type of contemporary film culture, the basic functions of contemporary film culture and the related relationship between contemporary film culture and the ideological political education; Part Ⅲ:the impact of contemporary film culture ideological and political education of college students, the first, analysis the main factors of affecting students choose the type of film culture works. followed, elaborate impact of film culture on college students’ ideological and political education from the political values, moral values, life values and aesthetic values of the four aspects to be analyzed. final,analysis the main reason for a negative impact on film culture ideological and political education; Part IV:Innovation of Ideological and Political Education under the background of film culture, specifily divided into lead the the socialist core value system to construction the contemporary film culture, take the mainstream film culture as the carrier to strengthen ideological and political education and strengthen the construction of the campus film culture to promote ideological and political education as the starting point of three parts undergraduates narrative.
