The Ideological And Political Education Of Undergraduates Under The View Of Socialist Core Values

Deepening of reform and opening up makes the diversity of ideology culture become increasingly apparent. In response to this situation, our party on the sixth Session of the sixteenth CPC Convention passes The Decision about Constructing the Harmonious Socialist Society by Central Committee of CPC, for the first time the system of socialist core value is put forward that concerns national destiny. And it is also the key and weather vane to the ideological and political education for a long period of time in the future. Among them, Marxism is regarded as the guiding principle to force socialist concept more attractive and cohesive; the socialist common ideal with Chinese characteristics is viewed as the goal, and is critical to unite teachers and students together; the spirit of the nation and of the age is seen as the source of stimulating the creativity of university culture; the socialism value for honor and dishonor is considered as the code of ethics and the intrinsic force to cultivate campus culture and morality. Only in this way can we get the initiative on ideology, in order to establish correct outlook on life, world outlook, values for college students, and thus ensure the all-round development of college students, then to keep ideological and political education of college students in a firm political direction.This paper studies the historical background of the socialist core value system, analyzes its formation and development from the objective angle, which is the theoretical basis of this article; and according to the development of current society, it uses the system of socialist core value to guide the ideological and political education. Secondly, the paper puts forward various challenges that current ideological and political education faces, and opportunities that society, economy, and network provide for college students under the system of socialist core value. Again, this paper offers several effective ways of ideological and political education, the main factor is the college students, the dominant force is the teacher. Finally, it is pointed out that the significance of college students’ideological and political education, and the important role in all aspects of the university that the system of socialist core value plays, only in this system is ideological and political education of college students promoted, more and more qualified successors of the socialist can be cultivated.
