After the reform and opening up of China, the charity is no longer government relief; private entrepreneurs have taken active roles in charitable donations. Existing researches of charity focus on qualitative and theoretical analysis and this paper will study the charitable behavior of entrepreneurs from two aspects (the factors of entrepreneurs and the factors of enterprise) by social survey and quantitative analysis. Forming the theoretical frame on the basis of the theories of switchman and persistence of power, the paper will analyze the charitable behaviors from the views of religious belief, political belief, reputation of enterprise and the political organizations. The following empirical findings are documented. From the aspects of entrepreneurs,(1) ideal interests and material interests all have positive influences to charitable behaviors.(2) As ideal interests, religious belief and political belief substantially promote the charitable behaviors, but (3) these two beliefs have different effects because of different objectives. Political belief will advance the relations between party members and political organization, so it will encourage the entrepreneurs to take part in the official and public charity activities.(4) As material interest, the reputation which strived after by entrepreneurs will lead them to formalistic donations. From the aspect of enterprise,(5) the political organization will influence the decisions of entrepreneurs, so they will donate more frequently than others and the amount of the charitable funds will match with the incomes of enterprises. Besides, the political organizations will weaken the effects of ideal interest on charitable donations.
