According to Elder’s Life course theory, middle school students in 12-18 are going through their import period of social change during school time. Students begin to explore identity and distinguish themselves, also, they are experiencing a special time-from relying others to independent. During this period of time, their view of life and values have not fully formed and interfered by the external factors easily. These irrational believe cause behavioral biases of middle school student easily and lead to the confronted mood between students and teachers.As an important social relationship, the relationship between students and teachers have a crucial influence about the future development of middle school students. The harmonious relationship between students and teachers can reduce the psychological burden increase the willing of learning and form positive view of life and values of students. Otherwise, the unhealthy relationship will have negative effects towards students’ development in almost every aspect.This paper makes a premitive understanding of the relationship between students an d teachers according to the investigation in a middle school in Xi’an. Based on the inve stigation, the author analysed the cause of the confronted mood between students and t eachers in five aspectsThe author uses REBT in social work to solve the problems about the confronted mood between students and teachers. REBT main focuses on breaking the in correct believes of the clients, helping them building the correct understandings. So, according to the demands of REBT, casework counseling toward three students in this school and casework analysis, the effects of solving the problem of the confronted mood between students and teachers can be tasted.At last, the author assesses the results of using REBT to solve the problems about the confronted mood between students and teachers, basing on two sides--the client satisfaction index and compliance degree of the targets. Then the treatment procedure comes along and the professional reflection is done, aiming at finding a way to solve the confronted mood between students and teachers, decreasing the tensions and increasing the harmony in middle school...
