The rational numbers and the four operations are foundations of "number and algebra. Having a deep understanding of the related concept of rational number and its operation skills are the basis for learning algebra in junior high school. At the same time, the chapter of a rational number is also the first one students should when they enter the middle school, an important prerequisite to learn the rational numbers and four operations are the follow-up of mathematics learning, training is an important time for the students in junior high school stage mathematics study interest and confidence. Therefore, regarding rational content as the research carrier has an important practical value.In the learning process of the rational numbers, students will make a certain error in the process of learning mathematics. But the current junior middle school teachers for the study of rational number wrong is not optimistic, most of the teachers think that rational knowledge is relatively simple, little teachers summary and analysis the students’ error. This study make a deep analysis of the various errors the students make in their mathematical learning, summarize the reasons scientifically, and study the effective teaching strategies are of great significance to their mastering the knowledge of mathematics.This research,taking junior middle school students as the research object,mainly through the questionnaire survey, individual interview, observation and questionnaire to collect data and case,mainly studies three questions:(1) in the study of rational knowledge of number, what typical mistakes junior high school students mainly make?(2) What are the causes of these typical errors?(3) What are the teaching Countermeasures to solve these errors?According to the study, the typical errors of junior middle school students in learning rational number are listed as follows: understanding of the concept and nature of rational number; difficulty in the negative symbol comprehension; making errors in memorizing the rules; wrong application. The reasons why Junior high school students make errors are that the interference of the students’ original cognition; not standardized teaching language habits; students’ lack of active error correcting awareness and intuitive tendency. Teachers can help students from four aspects to minimize the typical errors of learning rational number: establish the link between the old and the new concept in time; do mathematics teaching convergence, pay attention to grasping the essential characteristics, negative significance of teaching, pay attention to rational number operation rule to strengthen the understanding of the relationship between the applied problems in primary and middle schools.Through the study of junior middle school students’ rational number problem-solving mistake,not only let the teachers to pay more attention to the "wrong", and provide some cases for teachers, providesing effective reference for their teach, to improve teaching effectiveness.
