The operation of rational numbers is the basis of number and algebra.It is the first chapter of contents after students enter into the junior middle school from primary school.Learning the operation of rational numbers well can lay a good foundation for the subsequent mathematical learning,and also conducive to improve learning interest and confidence of students in junior middle school mathematics.The survey found that seventh grade students made various errors in the operation of rational numbers.Therefore,this paper takes 164 seventh grade students in M city of Anhui Province as the research object.We collect the first-hand research data through questionnaire survey,student assignments,test papers,interviews with teachers and students,classroom observation and other methods,and obtain the following research results.(1)The operation of rational number error types can be divided into five categories:conceptual error,negative sign understanding error,rule application error,non-standard operation process,careless error.Among them,conceptual errors can be divided into different types of conceptual confusion and conceptual understanding error.The understanding error of negative sign is divided into:the understanding error of negative sign and the operation error of the combination of negative sign and power.Errors in the application of rules can be divided into:errors in memorization of rules,misuse of algorithms and errors in the sequence of operations.(2)The main causes of each type of errors are:interference from the original negative cognitive set,negative affection and attitude,interference from topic information,and bad habit of solving problems.According to above the results of rational number operation error types analysis to propose six corresponding teaching strategies : pay attention to the connection between the old and the new concept,pay attention to students' understanding of the essence of a negative number,pay attention to the teaching of the rules of rational number operation,pay attention to rational algorithm specification students answer to rational number operation subject.In order to help the seventh grade students in the rational number operation to effectively avoid mistakes,improve the operational ability,for the first-line teachers of junior middle school to provide rational number operation teaching reference.
