A Study On The Ethnic Identity Of The Qiang People After The Earthquake

China experienced a devastating disaster with the2008wenchuan earthquake,inwhich the ancestral area of chang suffered serious damage.In this paper we set theresettlelment area for field testing point,examining the identification,selection,responseto the national policy and the interaction with the surrounding residents and otheraspects,to analyze the variation of identitiation in resettlement of Qiang.This article introduces the survey of the field,describes the history ofQiang,historical memory and the living space,using the method of historicalanthropology,point out the research background.Then,analyzes the daily life and culturalexpression of Qiang,to explore the function of the national symbol of Qiang incondensed and awakening of role.The instrumental factors of ethnic identity arediscussed in this paper,how the Qiang to integrate the traditional culture resources toenhance the self-identity so as to achieve the integration and the identity of chinesenation,with the influence of national policy,ethnic tourism,ethnic contact.How thevillage elite to regulate people’s behavior,to make the people rally around their nationalculture.After the resettlement,the traditional culture of Qiang are digestion in differentdegree,under the influence of the modernization and interaction with other nation,butthe ethnic feelings wich are influenced by the tradition culture for a long time arehanded down and plays a role enhancing national cohesion.In the pursuit ofpolitical,economic interests,the Qiang people has been expressed with the nation’straditional culture,to distinguish between the self and the other.With the nationalinstitutional discourse system,the citizen consciousness is strengthened besides the selfidentification.Therefore,the author believe that the people’s ethnic identity of Qiang inthe resettlement is the comprehensive affect of the original nature affective and the toolrational,the national identity of Qiang both include the national identity and the higherlevels,is the unity of the Qiang ethnic and national identity.
