It is an inevitable process of a subject to develop from qualitative description to quantitative expression. As a mature science, the scientific facts it contains m ust be accurate in quantity. In the process of teaching, attention need to be foc used on students’ experience of scientific process and the grasp degree of scien tific methods, which is an important aspect to promote the development of stu dents’ scientific literacy. The mathematical method is one of the scientific meth od that using mathematical tools for scientific research. Applying mathematical method to chemistry discipline is granted, and using mathematical method in m iddle school chemistry curriculum has specific significance and requirements. " The ion balance in aqueous solution"is an important part in "chemical reaction principl e"—the elective module(Ⅳ) of People’s education press. The infiltration of mathem atical method in the teaching can help students to enhance the understanding o f scientific inquiry, to enhance the interest to explore the chemical reaction pri nciple, to set up the aspirations of chemical study and research.First of all, this study analyses relevant literature about the theory base and m athematical method of the research on related concepts at home and abroad. Combi ned with interviews, questionnaires were investigated to analyze the present con ditions about using the mathematical method in the chemistry curriculum of hi gh school students from different angles. The important and suitable mathemati cal method for chemical was introduced and the commonly mathematical metho ds that partially penetrated in high school chemistry textbook of People’s educati on press were combed in this paper. Secondly, on the basis of this study, In hi gh school chemistry course mathematical method is proposed to promote the te aching principles and teaching strategies of students in chemistry learning; Th e teaching content of "ion balance in aqueous solution", in the third chapter electi ve four, was taken as an example to carry out teaching design that infiltrated b y mathematical method. Then, in the "balance of ions in aqueous solution", usin g the test of teaching effect with practice the infiltration of mathematical meth od. Draw the conclusion: the teaching content of "ion balance in aqueous solution ", in the third chapter elective four, which infiltrated by mathematical method, i mproving the students’ ability to solve chemical problems and learning effect; h elping students grasp tochemistry knowledge. Finally, reflect on the inadequacie s of this study, hope for those who study the further thinking.
