"Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General High School(2017 Edition)" proposes that the construction of the students' core competence system should be focused on the study of the big ideas of the discipline,The classroom teaching with the concept of the big ideas has become the necessary part of cultivating student's learning initiative and developing minds.This article selects "Ion balance in aqueous solution" as the research content.Through classroom observation and interviews,it was found that there were content differentiation,front-to-back separation,and conflicting teaching relationships in the actual classroom.The main reason was that the logical relationship between concepts was not reasonably and effectively presented.Therefore,this article reconstruct the concept of "ion balance in aqueous solution"based on the big ideas,and establish a relationship network among concepts.It effectively guides classroom instructional practice.The big ideas aims to reveal the laws behind factual knowledge,and its purpose is to promote the organic connection of fragmented knowledge by forming logical growth points among knowledge.Thus,this research was based on the big ideas research framework,using research methods such as document method,questionnaire and interview;It can conduct instructional design and practice on "ion balance in aqueous solution".The specific research ideas are as follows:the conceptual framework around the big ideas,through six teaching links are carried out in real classroom situations.The six teaching links are:exposing personal concepts,understanding the main concepts from the perspective of the big ideas,analyzing and mastering the main concepts,understanding the main concepts based on the big ideas,establishing interdisciplinary links around the big ideas and linking the thinking questions to the new knowledge.Using "independent sample t test statistical analysis" and "multiple response analysis" in SPSS software methods to carried out scientific and effective analysis from different angles.Using intuitive data and evaluation to analyze the practical value of big ideas,It was summarize the enlightenment of instruction based on big ideas to'high school chemistry instruction.The focus of this research was using the concept of big ideas into the chemistry instruction,this conformed with the cognitive development of students,This promoted high school students to establish interdisciplinary connections at the level of big ideas.The following conclusions were obtained:the chemistry teaching based on the concept design of big ideas had practical value;the teaching big ideas helped to establish connections between chemistry concepts,which helps in-depth teaching of "balance";the construction of chemistry teaching based on the design of major concepts helped to develop students'learning ability;the experimental verification and life-linked applications were helpful for students to understand chemistry knowledge.
