Compulsory basic courses of mathematics curriculum can develop citizenship, so it is veryimportant for primary school students. However, in the mathematicscurriculum learning, mathematical error become an obstacle for primary school studentsto learning math, so how to effectively avoid the mathematical error becomes a difficult problemfor teachers and students to face. In fact, the mathematical errors is not accidental, if people canrecognize the errors of active, the errors can effectively avoid. However, in practice, which arecommon mathematical errors of primary school students? What are the reasons that led to thesemathematical errors? How can teachers and students effectively avoid the mathematical errorsand so on, are problems to be solved urgently. Therefore, author is to solve these problems,began the journey of the study.The first part is the introduction, including the question of origin, the basic introduction ofliterature review, the research ideas and methods, the core concept definition and researchsignificance. They are foundations for this research. The second part summarizes thecommon error types of primary school students in mathematics. In this part, the author mainlycollect and analysis the mathematical errors in mathematical homework and tests in a primaryschool students of Ji’nan city, and divided the mathematical errors into four types that are badhabit errors, concept errors, calculation errors and application errors according to learningcontents and learning habits angle. The third part analyzes the reasons of common mathematicalerrors generated by the primary school students. In this part, the author mainly adopts themethods of observation and interview method, mainly from the knowledge level, psychology andlearning habits level to explore the deep reasons behind the mathematical errors. Finally, theauthor attempt to improve the problem-solving ability in math study of primary school studentsand strengthen the classroom mathematical teaching to avoid the mathematical errors accordingto the mathematical error types and the reasons of common mathematical errors.
