With the development of social, more and more people agree with theconcept that educational equity and educational democracy, etc. With the rapiddevelopment of special education, the people with visually impairment have fairaccess to education, and the opportunity that return to the mainstream,tointegrate into society is also growing.It’s the basic that to provide the learningconditions with their visual function to achive the highlight educational equityand the modernization of education.Color Tactile maps have a significantadvantage when the students with visually impairment work using the visualfunction and improve learning efficiency.This study was to explore the student’sspecial needs of color on the basis of grasp the characteristics of the vision andblinding factors of blind students. After the integration of ordinary textbookmaps use color characteristics, try to summarize the principle for use of color intactile map and design print color tactile map, and evaluate the efficacy of theuse on the basis of the use of color tactile map.Paper first introduces the concept and classification of visual impairmentand common blinding factors classification, and various visual characteristics ofthe blind students, then, color range will be selected accordingly.Through the investigation and analysis of visually impaired student’sidentification of colorific choice and their color acuity and the visual resolution of hue, while that students have visual function. Combined with the use of thecharacteristics of an ordinary color map, Systematically discusses the color useprinciple of color tactile map and try to design color tactile map symbol system;On this basis, this study attempted to produce color tactile maps, and the colortactile map can effectively reduce the time and improve the correct rate ofinterpret the images were studied. Studies have shown that color tactile map caneffectively exert students’ visual function who visually impaired, greatlyreducing its time in image, effectively improve the efficiency and correctness ofinterpret the images, especially in the help visually impaired studentscomprehensive interpretation of multiple map information has obviousadvantages. Finally put forward the problems and defects existing in theresearch, to be the next step in-depth study and perfect.The innovation of this paper lies in: We carried out an investigation on thesuitable color for students by different blinding factors, determine the principleto choose color of color tactile map and create a straightforward map symbolswhich is suitable for visual perception and tactile perception. And also designedto draw the eight grade atlas by using CoreldrawX4.
