Through analyzing the differences between professional tennisplayers and ordinary college students on eyes movements index when they watch tennis tournaments, this paper makes a summary on the characteristics of tennis athlete’s eyes movements. There are twenty participants in total, among which 10 are professional tennis athletes who are the national first grade or first grade athletes, and the rest 10 are college students who are able to play tennis but amateurs never taking any professional tennis training. All the subjects namely 10 women and 10 men, are of normal vision above the 5.0 standard without astigmatism. The ASL-H6 head wearing eyesight tracking system designed by ASL laboratory is brought in as the experimental equipment. By analyzing the eyes movements index such as the eyesight fixation and their eyesight tracks of subjects with the help of SPSS16.0, conclusions were made which are as following:(1)There is an oblivious difference on the accuracy of the anticipation of track of returning balls. professional group has a higher accuracy than the college student group, while the difference of reaction is subtle. This means the professional group are able to grasp more valuable information during the anticipation of the of track of returning balls thus make exact judgments.(2)Another difference is the fixation time of interesting zones. Professional group spares more time on the rivals to seek information when they are watching tennis tournament videos while the college students group is distracted by the outside environment such as the outside scenes.(3)Professional group has a higher percentage of fixation point among their interesting zones than the college student group, which means that professional group is more concentrative than college student group on capturing information at the same time.(4)As the total number of fixation points, Professional group possess a larger number than the college student group, therefore professional group is able to capture a overall information of the whole competition.(5)There is an obvious difference among the tennis players on the track of eyes movements. The track of eyes movements of professional group is simpler than that of college student group. The former focuses more on the anticipation of the track of returning balls as well as the rivals, while the latter focuses more on the two sides of tennis court, the caddie, umpires or even the audiences outside the court. This means that the track of eyes movements of the professional group are more focused on the competition.
