| China Basketball Association, which goes by acronym CBA, is the basketball league match that shows the highest level of competition in China and even Asia. With the improvement of the competitive level of the CBA league match, the competitive structure has changed greatly. Over the course of 2013-2014 season, the Beijing team has won the championship twice in three years, representing the emerging strong teams in recent years. Researches on the characteristics of offensive basketball will be reference to research and analyze the new trends of CBA Basketball League Match.I have consulted an extensive literature on researches about basketball and run statics through CBA official website database and recorded matches. The research paper shows the offensive characteristics of CBA Beijing team from the analysis of offense and technical indicators related of Beijing team’s scoring in the fifteen games in the playoffs. By using the methods of mathematical statistics, logical analysis and contrastive analysis, documentation, etc, I have analyzed technical indicators including the team’s offense, the players’offense and offensive tactics. Therefore, I do research into the offensive characteristics of Beijing team, point out its deficiencies, and I finally reach the conclusions as follows.1.The offensive characteristics of the team:two-point shot is the main scoring means; the offense is based on shooting in restricted area while middle-distance shot is relatively few; the frequency and the rate of shooting have trended up from both sides to the middle area, the 60°to 90°are the main shooting area.Deficiencies:Beijing team scores unjustly between outfield and in-field, both the utilization and the shooting percentage of middle-distance shot are quite low; the offensive ability of the 0°to 15°area on both sides is poor; offensive rebound and assists are very few, turnovers are comparatively high, and the scoring rate of each round is not high.2.The offensive characteristics of the players:among defenders, Marbury is prominent in scoring, assisting as well as stealing, and he has a great ability of ball-holding breakthrough, Sun Yue has well-rounded offensive capability; among strikers, Ji Zhe and Zhai Xiaochuan are superior in offensive rebound, Zhu Yanxi’s three-point percentage is above normal; among centers, Morris is the leading scorer of Beijing team whose offense mainly consists of perimeter shots and getting to the basket and gets the most offensive rebounds, screen is often done by Zhang Songtao; local players mainly adopt three-point shots while foreign athletes adopt two-point shots, foreign athletes make much more contributions to the team than others in scoring, offensive rebounding and assisting.Deficiencies:scoring both from inside and outside is not even, scoring relies largely on the defenders, the scoring is too focused, the local young players lack the opportunity to perform; the individual offensive contributions of local players are much fewer than those of foreigners, however, two foreign players are exactly who have made such turnovers.3.The characteristics of offensive tactics:offense completed in 8 to 20 seconds accounts for the most, the breakthrough pass and continuous interchanging of passes are used a lot, the cooperation is smooth and easy, individual flexible attack is the main offensive way; the fast break usually starts with stealing and ends up with layups.Deficiencies:the transfer and move is slow, the fast break and attack is not used often, outside shots in the fast break is not enough; there’s a lack of give-and-go and coordination in positional attacking, the offensive ways are monotonous; the team depends largely on individual offensive capability, it needs more offensive rebounds and second chance points.The introduction of the powerful foreign athletes and the formation of the new competitive situation indicate the increase in the influence of the CBA league and competitive level. Depending on Beijing team’s smooth and easy positional attack, individual capability of foreign players and the extremely high scoring rate in the restricted area, it has beat its opponents over and over and it is worth learning by other teams; meanwhile, the problems concluding the low three-point shot percentage, concentrated attack zone, unjust scoring and the low speed of building attacks, should also be paid attention to by Beijing team as well as by any other teams. |
