The three representations in chemistry learning (threefold representation) mainly refers to the macro characterization of macro feelings; chemical symbol (symbol, chemical, chemical equations and diagrams) to represent the symbols, materials and its change rule touched, invisible knowledge, concept or the information recorded and presented in the brain the micro structure characterization; learning process (learning progressions) mainly refers to in a proper time span, people thinking of a knowledge or things gradually become more complex and delicate process.The learning process of students and three characterization is an important performance of students in middle school chemistry, information shows the current domestic research on learning process and three representations is less, the study of chemistry in middle school is no system, no one will learn the process and the combination of Three Representation Theory research. Therefore, the author based on the chemical reaction and energy as the incision, the learning process and the Three Representations Theory and extend the depth of analysis, taking into account the actual form of the past research results and the present stage of the students, the whole research process to explain the concept, literature analysis, concept map, questionnaire etc. a variety of methods to conduct in-depth exploration. The meaning, characteristics and research methods at home and abroad the author firstly on the learning process and the three representations of related literature to sort out the exploration learning process and the three representation; then according to the research methods to discuss the learning process and the three representations of the designed "the learning process level architecture transformation" in chemical reaction energy the concept of knowledge, based on a large amount of theoretical research, preparation, high grade, high school three grades of "chemical reaction and energy" of the questionnaire, the questionnaire before we have a basic hypothesis:the students’learning process and enhance the level of representation level, students also will increase; then the volume of survey by IBM SPSS statistics19 software the results are reliability, reliability, relevance, differences in data statistics and analysis; finally, test results feedback proposed teaching advice, and hope the three representations can improve the ability of middle school students, and for the vast number of teachers and scholars as learning and the study reference.This research through to the junior middle school chemistry curriculum standard, curriculum standard of high school and junior high school chemistry teaching, high school chemistry textbook in college entrance examination and analysis, based on the constructivism learning theory, cognitive development theory and information processing theory, the relationship between the early high school students in different periods of process level, level of representation and process level and the level of representation the exploration of the test volume, and explored the causes of differences between students of different periods, the results of this study indicate that:(1)Characterization of the level of students’ learning progressions will increase along with the level of the students. Through the study found that junior high school students, the learning progressions, the level is gradually increasing, the three level of representation is also gradually increasing,the learning process level and the three level is positively related.(2) The learning process level and representation level of middle school students has great potential to improve. The lower the learning process level and the three level of representation will be for the future will be more in-depth study of energy in chemical reactions and lay a good foundation of knowledge.(3)The students’ learning process characterized low level is very low or even no, so the students of energy in chemical reaction related knowledge only stay at the macro level, changes in temperature sensing chemical changes, the phenomenon of light and heat. So to make the class some students with learning difficulties to understand the knowledge, the teacher is the most important link to do micro characterization.(4)The macro level of representation in different periods of their difference is not great. The difference of the 1 Statistics found that level of representation and representation level 1 three grade there is no difference, difference is not great, in the macroscopic representation, students of higher grade than the low grade students have to consider a more comprehensive and careful, while low grade students mostly consider more unified and simple.(5)Have a great relationship between teaching strategies and teaching materials for students interested in learning, cognitive style, learning process level and representation level students in different periods of the arrangement, teachers usually exercises, the survey found the level of students’ level of representation and process there is no statistically significant difference in gender.Based on the three grade test results, and the use of SPSS (19) statistics of relevant variables. draw some rules and conclusions of students’ learning process level and representation level in different periods, and raises a series of thinking in the process of summing up the conclusion, finally produced a series of enlightenment our teachers’ teaching.
