Classroom Teaching is extremely crucial to both teachers and students in universities. This is because the classroom is not only the important place for interaction and communication of teacher-student, but also a major channel that integrates academic knowledge with social activities, and hence it is usually regarded as a hot research topic, related to behaviors and interaction patterns between teachers and students in class, within academia. This work mainly investigated personal understanding and feeling about the wishes, effects and patterns of classroom interaction by issuing questionnaires within full time students and graduates. On this basis, it further analyzed the overall situation and impact factors of classroom interaction amongst Chinese universities, and concluded several existing problems:(1) Students are unwilling to do preparation before the class even though they realized previewing is beneficial to classroom interaction.(2) Students have relatively low interaction frequency and enthusiasm, which makes classroom atmosphere dull and depressing.(3) Teachers and students have divergence on the topic of classroom interaction: teachers usually talk about specialized knowledge and technical instruction whereas students prefer to engage in discussion and analysis related to social phenomenon or daily life.(4) Students often negatively respond to the request of interaction raised by teachers by avoiding and ignoring it, which results in non-ideal interaction pattern.By the differential analysis of impact factors in classroom interaction, it found that student’s learning style and learning attitude has great impact on the frequency, pattern, behavior and effect of classroom interaction while learning motive has little impact on the effect and pattern of classroom interaction. The teaching attitude and style also affect the classroom interaction similarly.Given the findings related to classroom interaction above, this work proposes several specific suggestions: be prepared for classroom interaction; correct learning attitude and motive; pay attentions on knowledge learning in class; promote the improvement of teaching abilities as well as the formation of teaching styles.
