The mainland and the Taiwan region open a new round of curriculum reform of basic education at the same time at the beginning of this century. The most prominent of measures is that the development of the textbook has shifted from One-Guideline-One-Text to One- Guideline-Multiple-Text. The compilation of textbooks realizes the diversification and autonomy in a certain extent. However, various versions of textbooks are also easy to cause the confusion of textbook use. This urgently demands to strengthen the theoretical research on the textbook. Therefore, this paper will selects two versions of "science and society" textbook in primary school: mainland’s People’s Education and the Taiwan region Kang Shaun into comparisons, and try to find the differences and simulations from them.This paper structurally divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction, mainly explains the research background and research ideas; the second part is the basis of comparative research, it provide moral basis for specific comparative research. The third part is the comparisons, and it tries to analyze from the three levels: the structure of textbooks, the content and the form of textbooks. The forth part carries on the summary and reflection on the above comparison part. And we propose some suggestions to the compilation problems which were reflected in the textbook.Through analysis and comparison, it is found that the two versions exist some similarities, as both adhere to the "people-oriented" education concept and the design idea of "comprehensive cross, spiral up”, it multiples the knowledge of political, economic, cultural and ethical from the perspective of children fusion; as both include more complete structural system of the preface, catalogue, text, activities and so on; as two versions are trying to pursue the effect of ”textbook illustrations, the organic integration”. But the biggest difference between the two is that PEP is extending in the field of social learning in the infiltration of moral education, moral education content broad and profound, but in terms of democratic education, legal education and so did have missing; and Kang Shaun is mainly to complete the social knowledge, but the moral, cultural, historical, geographical and other content are more and more becoming in the localization of Taiwan education and to cultivate local awareness of the target in a prominent position. Morley, as with respect to Kang Shaun version of a unified and concise structure, the PEP is more flexible blend in the whole text, but in the present form due to the lack of necessary distinction and distinct, resulting in the imbalance and confusion of the function of each plate; as in the pursuit of lively text, the PEP ignores the text reading, and it directly impacts the students’ thinking activities and so on.Therefore, firstly, the PEP in paying attention to moral education at the same time, it is necessary to expand the social knowledge system, and enhance the content of moral education inspiration and optimize the way of moral education, also want to keep a sober mind, constantly on the alert against presentation of Taiwan textbook "to national trend”. Secondly, the PEP version need to adjust the layout fatherly, to cut and supplement the original plate, trying to improve the effectiveness and clarity of the parts. Thirdly, we should improve the quality of thinking of textbook content, broaden the width and depth of the text reading, optimize the design of the problem, and constantly improve the ability of students to analyze and explore the ability. Fourthly, adhere to the image rendering service to the contents of the expression, increase the pictures related to the authenticity and pediatric living in appropriate topics, and create an atmosphere more closed to the students’ life, and promote students’ positive thinking about problems in real life.
