With the rapid development of human society and dramatic progress of science and technology, educational philosophy around the world has updated quickly. No matter how times change, the purpose of the new curriculum reform has never deviated from the significant teaching goal that is cultivation of students’ ability to solve the problems. In fact, the research about "problem-solving skills training" has been studied by the scholars both home and abroad as well as the classroom teachers. They have conducted theoretical or practical research from different levels and perspectives, and put forward the corresponding teaching methods, teaching mode or teaching strategies.Based on the problems of "problem-solving skills training " which exist in high school physics teaching, the new teaching method i.e. “three-step Instruction” proposed by Ling Jiang a teacher from Kunming No.10 junior high school. Under such background, this thesis from theoretical and practical aspects conducts the research to help students improve their physical ability of problem solving and cultivate their good thinking habit. Further more, this thesis is designed to improve the effectiveness of physics teaching, so that students can acquire an ability of lifelong learning. The author from the six parts introduces the research achievements of this dissertation. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the intention of researching “three-step Instruction” under the current situation of research about problem-solving teaching strategy, and then briefly introduces the research method of this thesis. The second part is the theory research, mainly introducing the related concepts of problem-solving, effective teaching, teaching strategy, and “three-step Instruction” theory. The third part, by interpreting and analyzing the High School Physics Course Standard and physics textbooks, the author introduced a viewpoint proposed by Jiang Ling on fine-tuning the textbook series. The forth and fifth parts are the core content of the research. In this paper, based on the perspective of educational anthropology, the author mainly uses scientific methods such as education experience summary method, education experiment method, and education action research method to study "three-step Instruction" from theoretical and practical aspects. Then the author studies on the teaching effectiveness of the “three-step Instruction” using in the high school physics teaching by qualitative and quantitative. The last part is a general summary and prospect of this thesis. This thesis aims at popularizing “three-step Instruction” in our high school physics teaching and providing a new idea for teachers and educational theorists to communicate.
