Multimedia Network Teaching Support Environment

The Multimedia Network Teaching is a new teaching modeljncluding multimedia technology and network technology in traditional teaching.lt provides a mutual learning and visual teaching environment.This paper just introduces this new teaching software environment system. We developed two teaching software environment systems :the Screen And Audio Sharing system and the Vedio Broadcasting sytstem.The Screen And Audio Sharing system is Client/Server architecture.Client treats with receiving the screen and audio data package from server,recuring the screen and sound based on received data,and recording the action of computer input equipment. Server has two tasks,One is capturing the computer screen image and audio,and then compressing those data,Finally sending those data package to Client.The another is receiving data from Client and executing those actions.The Broadcasting system is Client/Server architecture too,Server sends MPEG stream to client,which were got from the MPEG Encoder.Client receives MPEG stream from multicast group and plays back.
