This paper describes the studies of learning strategy including its concept and construct, the relation between learning strategy, metacognitive, cognitive and learning method, the formation and characters of learning strategy and main conclusions from experimental studies. Based on the scales from abroad and native and the domestic actual situation, the Learning strategy Questionnaire for Middle School Students is proposed. This thesis takes the middle school students as subjects and uses Learning Strategy Questionnaire and the Motivation Questionnaire for Middle School Students as measuring instrument to explore the developmental tendency of learning strategy and the relation between learning strategy, motivation and achievement. According to the data, a valid regression equation is founded and the path analysis is processed, The conclusions are follows: (l)There are different levels in the 13 items, which compose learning strategy. (2) There is a stable tendency to the development of learning strategy .except that there is a descending tendency to grade 1 and grade. The grade factor makes no significant difference in learning strategy but there are significant difference between grade 1 and the other grades. (3)The gender factor makes significant difference in learning strategy. (4)There is a significant difference between key middle school and common middle school. (5) Learning strategy and motivation are important factors, which affect achievement of middle school students.
