Web Services-based Distributed Heterogeneous Information Sharing Of Educational Resources Library Program Realization

With the flourishing development of E-education in our country, the lack of web-based educational resources has begun to appear. It has been one of the bottleneck problems which obstruct further development of E-education. So it's an important part to present E-education development to accelerate web-based educational resources building. As one of the important educational resources, people pay more attention to the development of educational resource databases. According to current situation of educational resource databases of our country, because of relatively independent development for a long time, it causes each school's educational resource database under the heterogeneous system platform, software construct and data structure, which becomes a great obstacle of realizing integration. How to share the information of different distributed heterogeneous resource databases is becoming a vital field of modern education studying and computer application studying. According to such situation, this research proposes an information-sharing model of distributed heterogeneous educational resource databases, which is based on Web Service. This model creates Web Service interfaces for those educational resource database systems which have been built. Users are able to access the heterogeneous databases at different area transparently after invoking the services. Consequently, it realizes the uniform searching and using between distributed heterogeneous databases. This paper makes a brief introduction about the development of educational resource databases and Web Services. Moreover, it proposes the system model based on Web Service architecture and the actual solution built with .NET. And it makes a detail analysis and realization to three key parts in the scheme, those are Web Service creation of Service Provider, service register and Web Service invocation of Service Requestor.
