It is necessary to make a research on how to cultivate the students' scientific spirit in chemistry instruction. This article is written from the requirement of quality education, expounds the importance of science inquiry in the development of student's science literacy in the high school's chemistry instruction, especially in the development of student's scientific spirit. It poses the task of using this way in developing student's science spirit, the aim is to promote the chemistry teachers to further the research in the development of student's science spirit.In this paper, according to the Fully Time Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards of Chemistry (experiment draft) which requests that the students should pose the scientific spirit from the science inquiry in chemistry study, the author investigated and analysis the actuality of students' scientific spirit currently, discussed how to guide the students to carrying on the science inquiry, and discussed the strategy of developing and appraise the students' scientific spirit from the high school's science inquiry teaching from both theory and practice also. It based on philosophy, psychology, and pedagogy, discussed the developing of students' scientific spirit in science inquiry, and design an example to explain the implement of appraise.
