| By combining what I have explored and researched on the connotation of "interaction" and some other relative theories with the conception that"teaching of reading is a course during which students, teachers and text communicate with one another" in "the Chinese.Teaching Program Standard " , I put forward the tentative idea to conduct "interactive" teaching in the Chinese reading course in elementary school. This article illustrates its strategy mainly from the four following aspects: 1. The interaction between the teacher and the text. The teacher is expected to reprocess the text innovatively based on a fully understanding of it, and make it more suitable for the teaching of reading. 2. The interaction between the students and the text, which promotes encouraging thestudents to "challenge" the text while respecting their personalized reading. 3. The interaction between the teacher and the students, which includes creating an interactive atmosphere, improving each other by teaching and learning, being expert at enlightening through questioning and conducting appraising between teachers and students. 4. The interaction between students and students, which includes its significance, form and student-to-student evaluation. The article also stresses that "Interactive" teaching is not a specific teaching method but a generalized one with the concept of "interaction" throughout it. It advocates achieving the interaction between the main factors (teachers, students, text) in teaching through a variety of teaching forms in turn to cultivate the students' abilities to read by themselves, to explore, to contact, and to develop their innovation, responsibility and self-confidence then to contribute to an all-aspect development" of their personalities. |
