Science education has humanistic value. Humanistic value orientation of science education isscience education's value tendency of satisfying students' needs of developing certain types'humanistic spirit.This paper analyzes the reason of the lose of humanistic value of science education. And itdiscusses the necessity and the feasibility of science education realizing its humanistic value underthe background of the innovation of modern education. This paper focuses on the sciencecurriculum for junior high school students of Shanghai, which appears in the second innovationupon the curriculum and textbooks in the new century. This paper makes researches on the ScienceTextbook and the Modern Integrated Science Textbook. And it deep analyzes the humanisticmaterials and humanistic value orientation of every chapter and section of the two sets of thescience textbooks. Synchronously, this paper discusses the principle which science teaching ofjunior high school needs to follow, and discusses the basic means for going in for its humanisticvalue. Last, on the basic of the practice in some schools, this paper also analyzes some examplesof science teaching and designs two teaching plans.Because there is no systemical researches on the humanistic value orientation of scienceeducation and the chance to go to the schools is too little, this paper only gathers the author'sproductions in period of time. The author will research this problem in the future.
