Analysis Of Contemporary College Students Individualistic Phenomenon

Contemporary university students are the main force of rejuvenating China. Their capability decides the result of our country' s socialist modernization and their value orientation concerns the future of our socialist state. This paper investigates and analyzes contemporary university students' value orientation on the basis of questionnaire investigations and individual interviews.This paper is composed of three parts. In the first part, the historical origin of individualism, individualisms under different cultural backgrounds and individualism that nowadays university students understand are introduced briefly and concisely; In the second part, behaviors of up-to-date university students' individualism are summarized through investigations and interviews, and, the causes of individualism behaviors are analyzed; In the third part, the most important part, countermeasures to rectify university students' individualism behaviors are studied deeply and carefully.
