This paper introduces the current streams of mathematical cognitive structure. In the 1980's, with the development of subjects teaching study, many researches studied mathematical cognitive structure deeply and put out lots of valuable contributions. But still there are a lot of difficulties in the fields of mathematical teaching study. This paper summarizes the advantages of these researches , points out the deficiencies of them, such as the repetition of the mathematical cognitive structure studies. The previous studies mainly pointed out how to develop students' cognitive structure. But they didn't expound how to find out the conditions of students' cognitive structure. Furthermore, they didn't probe in the contributions of the different variables. On the basises of the above disadvantages , this paper puts forward a whole-newly research perspective in according to the disadvantages. The subjects of this research are the students of Junior 3.This paper takes Junior School students' mathematical cognitive structure examination as the measure tool. In addition to the method of respective interview, small research etc, this paper investigates the conditions of the middle school students' mathematical cognitive structure, the contributions of the three new cognitive structure variables to the students' mathematical achievements, points out the differences of the three cognitive structure variables, the cognitive springboard between good students and poor students, the differences of the sex. In addition to the research consequences, the study puts forward some effective measurements of developing the students' mathematical cognitive structure.
