"Human orientation" is the important idea of "The experimental stage of The Use of Open Education in Human Resources Training Reform, a pilot program carried out by the China Central Radio and Television University " (shortened form "The experimental stage" thereinafter) and the open and distance education, which needs change the old curriculum evaluation system that focused on "teacher-centered" to the new one that focuses on "student-centered".Formative assessment in curriculum is the important composing part of teaching quality guarantee system in the open and distance education and the forceful guarantee of the realization aimed at human resources training, simultaneity the reform of formative assessment is the key and weakness tache. In the direction of "Human orientation", formative assessment should attention students' otherness, diversity, development, fully bring into play students' main effects in learning, and embody autonomy and individuation of human.With the advance of "The experimental stage", formative assessment reform in our country have ameliorated a little, but still far away to achieve the target and lack of balance. In the paper, the author makes scientific researches on the applications of Performance Assessment in formative assessment after understanding the soul, evaluation ideology and method of "The experimental stage", masters the connotation and essence of Performance Assessment well and truly in the process of reading a lot of domestic and overseas materials by the theoretic research, anatomizes the existent problems in formative assessment and builds up the theory frame about Performance Assessment by the rule of three goals in evaluation, which are "knowledge and skill ", "process and method" and "motion, attitude and sense of worth" , by practice research.
