This paper focuses on the teachers' questioning activity in junior high schools' classroom teaching, target of the research, and the teaching of twelve English teachers in Zhongshan District of Dalian as the sampling. Through the two-year observations and interviews, I analyzed the problems existing in teachers' questioningactivities in the classrooms of junior high schools, and further explored the strategies and skills teachers should adopt in order to locate the effective techniques which may optimize the English questioning activities and to improve the questioning of classroom teaching.
