Since the implement of Program Outline of Entire Nation in Body-building, a trend of body-building prevails all around the nation. But its development lacks reasonable and efficient instruction, which elicits the Rank System of Gym Instructor. Gym instructors are those who specialize in guiding people's body-building exercises. Their function manifests in the process of instruction and the social benefit of their instruction are incomparable with other career. Thus it is vital and necessary to have theoretical and practical researches on gym instructors. This kind of research in China starts late and needs further improvement in research content, research means and etc. Moreover, detail, comprehensive, focused and profound researches are deficient, let alone researches on Yunnan gym instructors.This thesis adopts the ways of literature review, making survey, data statistics and comparative analysis to probe into present situation of Yunnan gym instructor. It is investigated to find out the problems and solutions for group structure, direction, training and management among Yunnan gym instructor. In addition, it tries to supply some fresh thinking and proposals for the development of Yunnan gym instructor and some references to management and decision-making.The research turns out that there are many problems in Yunnan gym instructor development. They are: the group structure of Yunnan gym instructors is unbalanced with little proportion of male gym instructors; the career structure is unreasonable with few different career participants, geographic distribution is unbalanced with few gym instructors in the countryside and rural areas; in the process of body-building instruction, instructors are confronted with problems like instructing expense shortage, instructing space and appliance shortage, participants without enthusiasm; in the process of gym instructor training program, there are problems like indefinite classification, training content without practical values, single training method; in the management of gym instructors, there are problems like professional management mechanism vacancy, monitoring mechanism deficiency and incomplete regulations and laws.Based on objective analysis of all the problems mentioned above, this thesis puts forward the relevant solutions and makes a preliminary discussion on the operation mechanism of Yunnan gym instructor.
