The thesis makes a deep exploration on how different background information provides cues for text analysis of "The back", intending to touch on the topic of reading comprehension instruction.This thesis consists of five parts:The preface makes a brief introduction on the procedure of reading comprehension instruction.Chapter one mainly focuses on how "The back" was chosen under the culture and education background at the period of China republic with a proposition that text comprehension depended on the author's personal information.Chapter two mainly focuses on how "The back" was chosen under the culture and education background at Chairman Mao's period with a proposition that text analysis is seriously influenced by political tendency; Chinese literacy education is far from the theme of humanism and falls into the pit of education as representation of the authority.Chapter three mainly focuses on how"The back"is chosen under the culture and education background at the reform period with a proposition that text analysis is much more reasonable.The concluding part presents the author's opinion that reading instruction should focus on both the readers' personal differences and the threshold of text analysis.
