By greatly changing the way of information acceptance and personal communication, the internet interaction has deeply penetrated into the students' real socialization process, and has become another important socialization approach. In order to make better use of the positive effect of the internet interaction, and to neutralize its passive influence, it is necessary to further understand the influential mechanism between the internet interaction and the personal development.In this study, we build a model with the "social interaction" as its cutting point, to deeply explore the influence that internet using behavior exerts on the personal development, and to reveal the important role that social interaction plays as a mediate factor in this influential process. We consider internet interaction content, internet interaction motivation, internet perceived usefulness and internet involvement as measurement of internet interaction, use information exchange and personal communication to count the social interaction, and employ academic performance, social ability and psychological condition to reflect the personal development.We conduct an impirical survey of 220 senior students from the school of management, Zhejiang University. And through analysis of the survey data, we reach the following main conclusions:1) The internet interaction behavior of university students is featured on diversifiedcontent, clarified motivation, positive attitude and varied involvement;2) Internet interaction behavior has significant impact on the academic performance of university students;3) Internet interaction behavior has significant impact on the social ability of university students;4) Internet interaction behavior has significant impact on the psychological condition of university students;5) Social interaction significantly changes the influence that internet interaction behavior exerts on the academic performance;6) Social interaction significantly changes the influence that internet interaction behavior exerts on the social ability;7) Social interaction significantly changes the influence that internet interaction behavior exerts on the psychological condition.
