Children And Young People Singing Teaching

Singing is one way that can most directly show the inside feelings of human beings. When learning to speak, if feeling happy, babies usually show the desire of humming. Of course, to the children and the youths, singing means the expression of happiness. And the adults give vent to their feelings and moods using the way of singing. With the development of economy and the improvement of people's living standard, people attach more importance to the function of art education. Nearly all parents hope that their children begin good music education from early ages. Singing is like a boat with the happiness as sails, which leads children to the colorful music world.Based on my four-year' teaching experience to the children and the youths, the essay begins with the common problems of the singing teaching for the children and the youths. I have made summaries and researches during teaching and the summaries of the importance of singing to the children go as followings. First of all, singing is good to people's health. Secondly, singing is a good way to create beautiful posture. Thirdly, singing helps to inspire the feelings of calmness and confidence. Also, I give some useful suggestions referring to the singing teaching to the children and the new learners. The suggestions are mainly about how to change the invisible and impalpable music teaching methods into comparably simple, transparent and happy teachingmethods. Roman is not built in one day and also we cannot learn singing well in one day. During the time of teaching, teachers must follow the cognition rules of children and carefully observe the differences of children's character, the ability of understanding and performance, and also the difference of socialization that is brought by the family environment and former education. In this way, teachers can teach different children using different ways. So the singing teaching process can go on smoothly from a low level to a deeper level.During the period of teaching children to sing, the harvest of my teaching is not only to get some teaching experiences, most importance and unexpected to me, but also to make me improve greatly during my study of music as a major. I have spent ten years studying music as a major, which has given a profound base to my singing teaching. When teaching students, I have found singing problems of them and also tried to analyze and then solve the problems. In this way, I know more clearly of the singing methods and this will be a good helper to my singing. When giving students instruction and guidance, I usually sing with students unconsciously, so the teaching process also becomes a singing practice for me. The result is that my singing technical skills and my voice function are continually and unconsciously improved.The traditional singing teaching method, which is mainly referring to the vocal teaching in music colleges, is not applicable to the teaching of the children and the youths in the teaching ways, the teaching procedure and the requirement to the students. Therefore, through gradually getting experience and making exploration, I have made bold innovation and exploration in the number of students in one class, in the procedure of class teaching and also in the atmosphere of class. All of these have produced great effect. I hope my singing teaching method can change some people' outdated idea toward singing, make more children happily grow up surrounded by beautiful songs, and let music lover really step into the music world. Moreover, the essay shows my hope that I can discuss with more singing teachers about how to instruct and guide children and the youth's singing, and that the thesis draws more people's attention and focus towards children and the youth's singing.
