The essay takes the compulsorily-taught musical teaching material for primary schools as the research subject which were published in 2012 by People's Education Press of China and adopted the method of quantitative analysis to evaluate the effect of the singing module therein on enhancing children's actual singing skills,point out the shortcomings in the design of the teaching material and suggest solutions thereto correspondingly.The article mainly consists of six parts:The first capter.Firstly,an overall introduction of the function designed in the singing module of the musical teaching material is made,namely to help students sing songs more beautifully through learning.Secondly,it further introduces the feel,experience and know-how of beautiful singing.The second capter.It studies the function the singing module of the musical teaching material had on expanding students' range.This part aims to research on the effectiveness of the singing module on expanding singing range and that of the training module designed in the teaching material specially for teaching bass,mids and highs on enhancing the students' singing performance.The third capter.It studies the function to strengthen students' breath during singing materialized by the singing module designed in musical teaching material.Specifically,it tests whether the singing module is effective for improving students' singing level by increasing lung capacity and training breathing tactics for singing.The fourth capter.It studies the function the singing module has on training the singing strength voiced by students.It tests whether the singing module is effective for improvement of singing skills through learning how to control strong and weak vocal cords.The fifth capter.It studies the function the singing module has on cultivating the singing attainment of the students.This part stress on the effectiveness of the singing module in the teaching material on improving students' singing skills through training their ability of score-reading,basic music analysis,singing songs of various genres and cooperation in team-singing and composing songs which could enhance their humanistic qualities comprehensively.In the epilogue.After the study and analysis made from different aspects to testify that the singing module from the primary musical teaching material could improve students' singing skills,it comes to the conclusion that although some modules are to be further designed and improved,the singing module set in the teaching material is indeed effective for improving students' overall singing skills,where it trains necessary basic singing abilities of the students so that the students could sing beautifully by genuinely participate in learning,feeling,experiencing and creating a sense of beauty in singing.
