| "The National Standard of History Curriculum" proposes "knowledge and ability, process and method, emotion, attitudes and values ". The middle school explores the new model and methods of teaching to achieve these goals. One of the ideal ways is "The teaching with material".It is found that, we can achieve these teaching goals when collecting and disposing historical material:1.The experience can help the students master some methods of historical research.2.The cooperation is to improve the team spirit and the capability of communication.3.The classification and reorganizes on teaching material can improve the ability of information processing.4. Students can achieve a strong will when conquering the difficulties in learning.5.The collection of material on personages and events can be the riches of emotions in learning , acquaintance with society and practice ability.It is also found that, the management of teaching material in class can influence the achieving of teaching goals in an effectively way:1.We can foster students' interests by showing teaching material.2. We can ask students some questions when showing teaching material which might make them more competent in thinking and more conscious to think probingly.3.We may improve students' ability on question, discrimination, and innovation spirit through teaching material.4.We can make students be more capable of application and preciseness in research manner when we solve the historical problems by teaching material.5.
