University Merger Cultural Integration And Innovation

In the new century, more and more universities are merged. There establishes a lot of new kind of universities with comprehensive deciplines, in grand scales and with powerful strength. The purpose of merging of universities is to improve the comprehensive strength and competiveness of universities, to conform the high qualities, to establish famous university brands, to meet the social demand and to foster new kind of talents. However in the merging, a striking problem occurs in culture fusion and innovation, which cosums the resources of the merged universities, leads to waste of resources, and affects the substantial process of merging. This is the reason why culture fusion and innnovation of merged universities should be studied. This thesis is to discuss how to solve the problem of culture conflict to promote culture fusion and innovation. Based on the discussion of porblmes in culture fusion and innovation, it analyzes the aim of merging of universities, and states that the buidling of culture should be based on the advanced culture, adhere to the principles of culture development of merged universities. The merged culture should be varied with a prominent role of the eminent culture, take in all the strong points to optimize the culture, and promote culture fusion and inovation to establish its idividual characteristics. On the basis of these principles, it also expounds the concrete steps to promote culture fusion, innovation and development, and emphasizes seeking comon ground while reserving differences to develop culture creatively on the basis of cultural genes. The culture of merged universities should conform the different cultures to make it comprehensive, and in the context of the common city backgound, imporves its grade and to serve the development of the city. The merged culture should be leaded by the dominent culture, unifying the cultures of regulations and of materials. With the eminent culture of the dominent campus as its core, merged universities should strive to establsih the ecological system of culture.
