The 2002 Syllabus Guide for PE Course and Teaching in Colleges points out five targets: participation, sports skill, keeping healthy physically and mentally and adapt for society. It is easy to find that these targets are quite suitable for primary and high schools. But these general targets are not always efficient for a specific period of teaching aim in PE. As long as specific aims are made and hen combined with general rules, teaching reform are on the way to success. Therefore two levels are included in PE for professional colleges.This paper, with investigation and literature, analyzes the features and orientation of course designs in professional colleges. It takes root in the target orientation for PE in professional colleges theoretically. Its practice is from case study in two colleges. Possible conclusion is that a combination of individuality and generality is necessary on this base. In other words, while constructing a course target for PE in a professional college, the five targets as well as the specific features of the college are to be taken into consideration in order to show its professionalism and application. Only this can ensure the most suitable curriculum for a college in PE.With this orientation when designing the special courses for PE in a college, the course manifests its individuality which is found in: job application and survival ability is also important in addition to contents of the course; the units in the course should be clustered; teaching arrangements should be varied. The features of the college should be infused in the course to ensure the individuality for PE in professional colleges.
