Methods: 295 middle school students were investigated with EMBU. Result: mother's emotion warmth is more than father's; father's punishment and strict discipline is more than mother's; mother's over protection is more than father's; mother's high mark of rejection and deny is more than father's, but the general level is lower. Parents rearing style is much similar with emotion warmth and punishment; obviously difference is in over protection; the biggest different point is in punishment and deny. Conclusion: Dalian parents rearing style of middle school students is consistent and reasonable, but the problem is too much over protection by both mother and father.
