Objective: To study the relationship between IAD and family restraining, school management from the perspective of both the time management of senior middle school students and the outside environment control, in order to explore the predictable variables of internet addiction disorder of senior middle school students so as to find out the interfere theory grounds and the valid ways to prevent from catching on internet addiction disorder. Methods: The total 6 schools, including 2 closure schools (1 normal,1 general) and 4 opening schools (2 general,2vocational) , were selected by methods of random sampling from the urban senior middle schools in zheng-zhou .810 senior middle school students were selected by methods of cluster random sampling from the three grades in the six schools.800 senior middle school students who were valid subjects were investigated with self-generated Internet Use Questionnaire, Young's Internet Addiction Diagnose Test ,Family Environment Scale(Chinese Version)(FES-CV). The total data collected from 784 valid Questionnaires was analyzed by Descriptive Statistics , Compare Means, Correlate analyses ,Regression analyses, using windows for SPSS 10.0.Results: 68 students meet the criterion of IAD, and the incidence rate of IAD is 8.7% among the 784 valid subjects. The IAD rate of the males was significantly higher than that of the females. The IAD rate of the normal schools was significantly lower than that of the whole subjects. The IAD rate of the vocational schools was significantly higher than that of the whole subjects. The IAD rate of closure schools was significantly lower than that of the opening schools. The males get significant higher scores on internet addiction Questionnaire than that of the females. The subjects in general and vocational schools get significant higher scores on internet addiction Questionnaire than that in the normal schools. The subjects in opening schools get significant higher scores on internet addiction Questionnaire than that in closure schools. The internet addicts are significantly more inclined to use internet in their spare time or whenever they want to use than the non-internet addicts ,while the non-internet addicts are significantly more inclined to choose weekend or holiday to use internet or using internet accidentally. The subjects in the closure schools are significantly more inclined to use internet in weekend or holiday than the subjects in the opening schools, while the subjects in the opening schools are significantly more inclined to use internet in their spare time or whenever they want to use.The internet addicts have significantly greater tendency on playing on-line games and scanning sexual web site than the non -addicts. The subjects of the opening schools have significantly greater tendency on playing on-line games and chatting than that of the closure schools, while the subjects of the closure schools have significantly greater tendency on searching materials, watching news, getting and sending mails than that of the opening schools. The longer the on-line history is, the higher IAD tendency subjects may have. The on-line history of the addicts is significant longer than that of the non-addicts.The family control of senior middle school students from city is obviously higher than that of the students from countryside. The family organization of the addicts is significantly lower than that of the non-addicts. The family control and achievement of the addicts are significantly higher than that of the non-addicts.The higher the family organization of the students is, the lower the IAD tendency is; the higher the family control and achievement of the students are, the higher the IAD tendency is.There are linear regression relations between the IAD score and school management type, family achievement, family organization, family control; and family organization has the greatest predictability to the variation of the tendency of IAD in family restraining; and school management has more effect on IAD tendency than family restraining do. In family restraining, family control has the greatest predictability, the followings were family achievement, family organization, respectively.School management type, family control and family achievement are the risky factors of IAD, family organization is the defensive factor of IAD. Conclusion: The tendency and incidence rate of IAD among senior middle school students have close relation to family and school environment. The IAD tendency and incidence rate of IAD among senior middle school students can be reduced effectively to some extent Whether carrying on closure school management or adjusting family restraining. What is more, school management has more effect on reducing IAD tendency and incidence rate than family restraining do. Therefore, school management and family management can be valid ways to prevent from and intervene with IAD from the perspective of easy operation, especially carrying on closure school management. From the family environment ,this study selected three factors which are strongly operative ---family achievement, family organization, family control, and named them family restraining. Further more, this study explored the predictive factors of IAD tendency of senior middle school students through family restraining and school management. This designing is the property of our study, and provide a new way to the study on interfering with IAD of senior middle school students.
