In China, there has been a gradual rise in the number of highly-educated women, which has had very important effects. Access to higher education for all, along with a period of economic revival, has meant that the old divisions in the labour market, based on gender differences, has been and is breaking down. This, in turn, has had a significant impact on the continued growth of women reaching higher education. As a result, women are now in a position to display their abilities and are not limited by their physical strength, which was the case in the past. However, regardless of the need for women to be admitted to the new economic and social structure, there still exists a resistance to approve of women in respect to their career development.Furthermore, well-educated women, themselves, seem reluctant to reach their full potential, not having great expectations for a career in our society. This is simply a waste of human resources. In this study, I will try to analyze the situation through economic research and then put forward a meaningful countermeasure proposal. In theory utilization and phenomenon explanation, this study will mainly use economic correlation theories to analyze and explain. In the process of this analysis, using economic methodology, this study will combine existing western economic models, new model which is more appropriate to the particular characteristics of educated women in China and the current situation. Following this, I will propose some new ideas to better understand the career development strategies of the women in higher education in our country, within a framework of a return to a career-based society for all. In addition, this study will use much of the original data available in this field to continue the empirical analysis, which will provide powerful support towards explaining the problem. In this study, I would like to show how women who possess a high level of education should integrate their career choice with the development of their family by means of a good decision-making system. Such a system will include the prioritizing of their family duties and a necessary cost/income comparison in order to define the duties and roles of all the family members. Meanwhile, those women who wish to pursue their careers and develop them further, should seriously consider the kind of lifestyle they want to have and then put in place the necessary system which will produce the most efficient attitude in obtaining the Pareto state of being: in this way satisfying both supply and demand.
