How to strengthen and improve the Ideological and Political Education among university students is a focal point for both CCPC and the educational system in China. To promote the reform of Ideological and Political Education Courses are an important way to strengthen Ideological and Political Education. To improve the efficiency of those courses is also a main topic concerned by instructors and educators in China. Recently, with the rapid development of the Internet and information technology, more and more educators have started to think about ways to take advantages of web-based classroom besides the traditional classroom, and they have already completed some meaningful research and trial practice. Under this circumstance, with the strong belief to improve the teaching efficiency and effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education, the writer of this thesis started her research on web-based inquiry instruction model.Based on theory study and the current research outcomes, the writer classified and summarized the inquiry theory and the theory of web-based instruction. Combined with the trial of practical research course in University"S", the writer also analyzed the necessity and feasibility of web-based inquiry instruction based on some questionnaire and classroom observation as well as interviews. Furthermore, the writer proposed web-based group inquiry instruction model and made a small trial on one of its phrases which is group collaborating inquiry in the Ideological and Political Education courses of University"S", which made its contribution to proving the effectiveness of web-based inquiry instruction. Finally, the writer summarized the web-based group inquiry instruction model and posed the concept of integrating web-based group inquiry into the traditional instruction in order to promote the reform of Ideological and Political Education among university students.
