CAS is an operated cognitive assessment system which established on the foundation of the cognitive psychology and the nerve psychology research, and it is a conformity pattern of information processing with the inner link. CAS based on the PASS theory which proposed from the new view of intelligence. Therefore, compares with other intelligence test, it has the its unique advantages in many ways. It not only supplements the traditional one, but also provides the research of intelligence test with a brand-new angle.WJ-ⅢCOG is the test of cognitive abilities established under the CHC theory frame, each sub-test of WJ-ⅢCOG may incorporate into for the different cognitive ability. This kind of division is helpful in assessing the single cognitive ability, simultaneously may also unify the different sub-tests to assess the panoramic cognitive ability. It is a progress in the history of the intelligence test. And the CHC theory is a most influential one in the current numerous cognitive intelligence theory, is also the theory which covers the most comprehensive of the cognitive ability, therefore ,WJ-ⅢCOG also has its own advantages.There are many researches about CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG structure as well as the correlations with achievement in overseas, but it is also rarely regarding the two's comparison research, and the domestic related research is a blank. Therefore ,the current study attempts take Chinese primary school students as subjective, do a compare study of CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG .explore whether the two tests are cross-cultural consistent in the correlations with achievement as well as distinguishing learning disability children. It will provide certain basis for the practice of domestic cognitive ability assessment as well as the further teaching intervention.This research gives the conclusions to be as follows:1. structurally, CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG have something in common in the way of designing and the content aspect, simultaneously, there are also many differences between them. But they both can clearly show the panoramic cognitive ability development of children.2. regarding the correlations with mathematics and reading, CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG total score have good predictability, regarding different content examination of mathematics and reading, CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG has the different sub-tests to have good predictability separately. Generally speaking, CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG in the correlations with achivement of Chinese primary school students proved the original characteristics.3. Ether entire test or sub-tests of CAS and WJ-ⅢCOG are good at distinguishing learning disability children.
