For quite a long time,people think that reading capability is more related with literature study than mathematics.However,as the technology plays a more and more important role in our daily lives,our world is digitalizing very quickly.As the language of Science,mathematics has become one of indispensable languages in not only physical Science but also social science.Therefore the reading capability requested today is combined with mathematic reading based on literature reading.The mathematic reading capability for primary school students includes the understanding and application of mathematic language,the capability to reason logically,to summarize mathematic materials and the metacognition capability.It takes a long time to educate mathematic reading,accumulating from the very first time child get in touch with math.This article is focused on how to educate mathematic reading capability while the students are learning math,thru which expecting that students could get a more complete acknowledge and intimate feeling of math.The article is divided by five parts.Introduction part,the basic items,research background and the choice of study methodology are discussed;the 1st part,we explain the advantage of good mathematic reading capability,which could help to inherit mathematic culture,improve mathematic standard;the 2nd part,research is made in three categories including learning character,reading character of primary school student and the reading content,trying to explain how to find and collect the good reading materials for primary school students;the 3rd part,to explain how to guide students to do mathematic reading in terms of reading in class,reading outside class and mathematic activities.And to summarize the achievements and feeling of mathematic reading activities by the analysis of students' work;the 4th part,based on the activity study of mathematic reading,several points are highlighted for teacher and authority about how to develop such kind of activity.
