First part of this article is a review of the research on Belief in a Just World(BJW),which includes three parts:the concept of BJW;research on the relationship between BJW and individual attributes;and the impacts of BJW on the attitudes, emotions and behaviors of people. In the second part, some of the unrevealed areas of BJW were put forward, such as if the mode of BJW of oriental people is as same as that of western people and if the beneficiary of an unjust event will impact the BJW.To clarify these questions, two researches were proposed:first,to testify if an innocent victim will threaten the BJW of Chinese subjects;second,to explore if the beneficiary of an unjust event will impact the BJW.With two modified Stroop experiments,it was found that the story of victim did not threaten the BJW of Chinese subjects. The reason could be the different dimensions of Chinese people. The belief in the coexistence of just and unjust events makes the Belief in a Just World immune to the unjust phenomena. The beneficiary of an unjust event makes the subjects potential victims, which may has some emotional impact on them and interfere with the reaction time. However, the general negative words and the justice-related negative words might be primed by the story so that the reaction times of these two types of words were not interfered with. This is the first time to explore how factors, especially the beneficiary of an unjust event, influence Chinese subjects. The last part is about a conclusion and the expectations of the research on BJW.
