Job And Field Of University Students - Habitus

The job-searching champ of college students is a typical structure of relationships. To start from the "Champ-Habitus" theory by Bourdieu, this paper built a research framework for college students' job-searching under the view of relationalism. The study progress was in three main levels: At the micro level, to reveal the champ logic, and to identify the capital structure and the relationships among the actors in the champs, which could reflect the action characteristics. At the middle level, to search for the relationships between job-searching habitus and champ, which impact a lot to the job-searching behaviors, and to the champ of its own as well. At the macro level, to investigate how other social subsidiary-champs to destroy the balance of job-searching champ of college students.In the experience part of this study, the data was based on the Survey about College Students Job-searching in 2009. Correlation Analysis by SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling was used to deal with the data statistics, which would be assistant to the speculative theory analysis as the referenced evidence files.The conclusion of this study is as follows: Under the composition of forces by champs of economic, culture, politic and education, the job-searching champ of college students has been changed dramatically. The habitus couldn't adjust to the changes immediately because of the intrinsic lag specialties, which lead to the "out of step" between habitus and champ. This phenomenon has imbalanced the champ more and made influences on job-searching consequences pressingly. Under such circumstances, rational strategies as "quasi-habitus" and positive interactions among other social subsidiary-champs would worked as the key roles. When the "quasi-habitus" would become the "new-habitus", and the new positive interactions would be built as well, that was the time for the job-searching established a new balance.
