China is during the period, in which China's economy is booming and everything is changing in the society. Bao'an Zu, as one of China's minorities, small in terms of population, is also being involved in the tide of changes. Bao'an Zus' resided in Northwest Altiplano of China, march with Tibetan Altiplano. It has a small population, the environment is fierce and the economy is undeveloped. The environment in which Bo'an Zus' are has been changing and will definitely affect the culture of Bao'an Zu. So the content of this article is mainly about the changes of Bao'an Zu's culture, especially the livelihood culture. This article will use the theory of ecology anthropology, in the view of environment limiting the people's culture, on the basis of the livelihood culture of Bao'an Zu, elucidate the relationship between the environment and the Bao'an Zu's culture. And the author gives a hypothesis, that is, the development of science and technology will reduce people's reliance upon environment. The hypothesis will be demonstrated in this article. It seems that the Bao'an Zus' life have been attached with the environment from the very beginning. The environment has always been the foundation in Bao'anZu's life, from the forming of Bao'an Zu's, the migration from Qinghai province to Gansu province, then residing there and from farming, herding and hunting changing to farming, handcraft and providing service. The environment limited Bao'an Zu's livelihood culture and the Bao'an Zu's livelihood culture also changed the environment which Bao'an Zus' are in. The changes maybe are tiny in a short period, for it has less people. It will change the environment destructively and irreversibly if more other Minzus' surrounding destroyed it in a long period. Then the environment will change the Bao'an Zu's and other Minzu's livelihood culture and maybe the sad story of Bao'an Zu's migration will occur again.
