Inference has two types: argument inference and reasonable inference. Chinese traditional mathematics teaching emphasizes on argument inference, while ignores the function of reasonable inference. With further expansion of the new round of mathematics curriculum innovation, the function and significance of reasonable inference in mathematics teaching have been paid more and more attention.This thesis firstly introduces the research status and relevant theories about reasonable inference and expounds the meaning and significance of reasonable inference, presents the main methods of reasonable inference such as induction, analogy, experiment, association and supposition through some relevant examples. Then it introduces the relevant theories about reasonable inference teaching: mathematics, teaching thought under Constructivism, Bruner's Cognitive---Learning Theories, Freudthal's thought of reinvention and Polga's mathematics teaching theories etc.This thesis lays emphasis on studying the current situation of students'reasonable inference ability in secondary vocational school. Based on the analysis of the reason why students in secondary vocational school lack reasonable inference ability and personal teaching practice, the thesis puts forward some feasible approaches. Research indicates that most students in secondary vocational school lack reasonable inference ability and that they know little about reasonable inference and lack relevant practical experience. It is also found that there exist professional differences in the reasonable inference ability among students and that positive correlation exists between students'reasonable inference ability and their mathematics scores. Students'reasonable inference ability is developing in an unbalanced way. In view of the above situation, this thesis proposes that in the mathematics teaching in secondary vocational school, teachers should create proper study environments based on different majors to guide students to observe, encourage students to guess, create students'interests and train students in games so as to improve their reasonable inference ability.
