With the rapid development of society and the times, measurement estimation holds more and more important position in the modern life, Mathematician at home and abroad figure the education of measurement estimation into one of skills necessary knowledge in mathematics for the primary and secondary students. How can we understand the development characteristics of the measurement estimation and develop the capacity of measurement estimates better? This is the main research directions in current estimation research. However, the biggest worry is that there is no systematic study on measurement estimate, there are still significant differences in some of the conclusions for the estimation. We need for further discussion and analysis. Therefore, this article introduces two factors such as the meta-cognition and the presentation, trying to find whether the two have an impact on measurement estimation. This study use the self-designed estimation tasks to examine the measurement estimation ability of middle school students through the design of audio-visual presentation of two different channels. The purpose was to examine whether there are differences of the estimation results in a different presentation in the junior high school students. Then make a survey about the students' meta-cognition level in order to determine the meta-cognitive development state distribution in different grades of junior high school students and filter out the subjects of the different meta-cognitive level. The purpose is to find whether there are differences in measurement estimation results and the subjects of the different meta-cognitive level. Above all, we can draw the following conclusions:(1) There is significant grade difference in measurement estimation and meta-cognition. There is significant gender difference meta-cognition.(2) Meta-cognitive level impact the measurement estimation results of junior high school students, and the subjects with higher meta-cognitive level get the higher measurement estimation results.(3) The presentation impact the measurement estimation results of junior high school students, and the scores in the hearing performance higher than the scores in the visual presentation.(4) The question type is also the factors that affect the measurement estimation results of junior high school students. The best answer is for the length questions, then is area questions, the worse answer is about the cube questions.
