An overview of the current social circumstances, each of us is experiencing a great transformation of informatization, digitization and networking, which is brought by the rapid development of network technology, and communication technology. The transformation caused by information technology has already affected the learning process, and also change the traditional teaching and learning model. At the same time, it raises a mew project to the originality of learning environment, learning concept and the model of learning training. F or learners, they tend to choose the model of on-line study more, because of its flexibility, diversity and resources abundance.However, there is still a long way go, because it's a long process to break the traditional system and create a new one. There is no concern about the change of learning model and no concern about the advantages of network such as the human-orientation and on-line interaction. All the teaching activities should be launched around the learners because they are the main body of the activities. Therefore, the thesis tries to analyze the self-directed learning model under on-line circumstances and classify the factors that affect the self-directed learning, so as to find a combination point between learners and on-line learning model as well as form effective online environment and interaction strategies to help learners'study.Characteristics of the thesis are as follows:analyze the status of the self-directed learning and giving a definition of it; analyze self-directed learning through literature research and questionnaire survey with the help of existing relevant theoretical guidance; analyze the self-directed learning from two aspects of process and interaction, and also creatively complete the design work about self-directed learning context.Thesis includes six chapters. The first chapter introduces the status of online learning and some existing problems at home and abroad, and analyzes the necessity of the research. The second chapter discusses the definition of self-directed learning, cultivation of learning ability and historical and current situation. In the third chapter, factors affecting self-directed learning are discussed from the aspect of personality, process and situation through questionnaires. The fourth chapter, based on the analysis of the previous three chapters, designs a situational context about the self-directed learning environment, and offers a concrete strategy of it. Chapter five gives an analysis of process and interaction to self-directed learning. The sixth chapter sums up the research, proposes its defect and discusses the further study.
