Online learning can cross over the constraints of time and space,and students can listen to excellent teachers'lessons in order to grasp the necessary knowledge and skills. Online learning is the trend of education and Modern Distance Learning. It is can be said that as a new approach, online learning leads to a profound change from educational concept, educational contents, teaching methods, educational tools to educational models.At the same time,society and education department has attached importance to online learning.The author takes "The Research on American K12 Online Learning Development" as the theme and carries research on its development history and the status quo,evaluation criteria and system, project construction and implementation as well as management strategies.On the analysis of comparative analysis and domestic online learning's current situation, article especially focuses on the existing problems in our country and tries to find the solution, then wholly seeks to develop and improve the online learning in our country, and foreeast its future.Chinese online learning started relatively late.Our research pay attention to applying theory to guide the operation, however,practice is narrow,but needs analysis is few,pertinence is poor,depth is not enough. Although emphasis on technology application research,cooperation is scarce,it is difficult to form large-scale studies. In short,although our study is developing based on anlehnunging developed countries'experiences,now is still at exploratory stage. Demestic researches are not very systematic and standardized,which hampers the reliability and promotion of onine learning to a larger extent.As the world's leader in online learning area,its K12 online learning broadens our mind, promotes the development of domestic online education, provides references for enhance the quality of our work and find suitable path for us.This article includes the following six parts:Part one:Introduce the research background, presentation of research topics, content and methods.Part two:Make a brief overview on American K12 online learning.Part three:Introduce and analyze the construction and implementation of American K12 online learning.Part four:Analyze American K12 online learning's evaluation system and management mechanism.At the same time,the article explores its challenges and coping strategies.Part five: Sum up the article.Then,based on the development of national online learning bottleneck,the article draws inspirations towards domestic onling learning.Part six:Point out the lacks of research work and prospect the future. Finally,the article summarizes nine characteristics of American K12 online Learning from the aspects of institutions,courses and policies, etc.Furthermore, the article gets eight inspirations,for example,online learning should emphasize instructional design and establish independent online courses assessment agent.Then prospect the future for the following study.
